About Our District and Your Water
The Laclede Water District (LWD) is a public drinking water utility with just under 300 service connections. The LWD is a direct filtration surface water treatment plant that pumps its water from the Pend Oreille River and distributes the potable water to the residents of Laclede, Idaho.
We are proud to be able to say that the delivered water from the LWD is among the cleanest and highest quality in the United States.
As a public or government run utility, we have five elected board members and are subject to various laws, responsibilities and other related government authorities. One responsibility is to post public notifications (such as stated meetings and agendas) on our notification board located in front of the water plant/office.
Please note that ALL public meetings are posted on the main office board as required by law. Thus, if you have any questions about an upcoming meeting, agendas, or regular meeting dates and times they are posted on the notification board.
This posting may not be continually updated throughout the month if public notifications or projects change. With the limited staff on hand actual projects and LWD duties do come first. Still, every reasonable attempt to keep this page updated will be made.
Call 1-208-265-4270 (Water Systems Management) for emergencies related to water issues 24 hrs./day.
Water District office hours are Thursdays from 8:30 – 3:30. Phone messages will be listened to and responded to frequently.
Call the office at 208- 255-4068.
